Cat troubles in Clayfield

Recently one of our customers in the Clayfield area had a bit of cat troubles with their rugs.  The cat seemed to like the area for relieving itself and made the large rug smell.  Rather then get rid of the rug or the cat, they decided to contact us and have us use or rug P.U.R.T. (Pet Urine Removal Treatment) and we brought it back to our workshop.  We were able to completely clean the rug and removed all the offending odours that have accumulated over the previous 6 months.  We were able to keep the customer rug form being thrown out and also saved the cat from having to go as well.

Our technicians are able to pickup and deliver urine stained rugs and bring your rugs back to smelling great.

If you happen to have pet urine stains and smells here’s a few tips to keep the odour and stain down until one of our technicians can come out and remove it.

Remove stains and spills as promptly as possible – best achieved with ChemDry’s ‘Professional Strength Spot Remover’ or ‘Pet Odour Remover’ Pet Oder Remover

  • Remove as much excess as possible, then apply and blot with a clean white cloth
  • DO NOT rub the spot as this might grind the stain in further

In addition, the following has been recommended by the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency):

  • Have your carpets cleaned and protected at least twice a year by your local ChemDry Amazing professional, or more often if you have children or pets
  • The US EPA recommends having carpets professionally cleaned a minimum of every six months!

So even if the cat doesn’t cause the damage it is still a good idea to clean your carpets and upholstery even more if you have pets.  Here at ChemDry Carpet Cleaning we can help with all of your cleaning needs.
